Matteo Mezzadri
Matteo Mezzadri photographer matteomezzadri.com Matteo Mezzadri was born in Parma (Italy) in 1973. After completing his degree in Political Science at the University of Bologna and a master's degree in Communication Design at the Polytechnic University of Milan, he devoted himself entirely to photography and artistic research. He began his professional career in 2003 as an assistant for important still life and fashion photographers. In 2010, he founded PHORMA photo & media, a photography and video studio that works for major national and international brands. Today, he works commercially as a photographer and director of advertising campaigns. Alongside his commercial work, he has been pursuing artistic research for many years. His works are part of important private and public collections, and he has exhibited in prestigious private galleries and public museums such as Somerset House in London (UK), the Center for Contemporary Art Pecci in Prato (Italy), Centro Hispanoamericano in Havana, Cuba, Casa del Mantegna in Mantua (Italy), CAMEC in La Spezia (Italy), the Archaeological Museum of Venice (Italy), PAC in Ferrara (Italy), PAV in Turin (Italy), Plastic Cultural Park in Beijing (China), La Fabbrica del Vapore in Milan (Italy). As an artist, he has participated in major art biennials, including the Italy-China Biennial in 2016, the Art Biennial of Curitiba (Brazil) in 2018, and the Venice Biennial in 2022. He has won significant awards and recognition, such as the First Prize at the Hiii Photography Competition in 2015 and the Second Prize at the Sony World Photography Awards in the professional category in 2014.
